Dear friends,<\/p>\n
RosaCaleta will be celebrating Black History Month on Sunday February 28,
\n2010, with a special events programme and menu between 15:00 and 23:30.<\/p>\n
The planned celebration has already sparked a lot of interest among friends
\nin the community, and we will be dedicating the entire day to a celebration
\nof food, drink, performance, presentations, books and stories, in
\nrecognition of Black History Month. This multifaceted event will give us the
\nchance to learn about and highlight the meaning of black history within our
\ncommunity, and to enjoy RosaCaleta’s Jamaican-European fusion cuisine.<\/p>\n
The restaurant opens at 15:00 with special menus for the event (the kitchen
\nwill be open until 23:00). Presentations and performances will begin at
\n17:00.
\nThere will be a special literary presentation from Dialogue Berlin (www.dialogueberlin.com), enhanced by readings and performances throughout
\nthe evening. Scheduled performers include artist and musician Satch Hoyt, slam Poet Paula Varjack, and singer Nuwella, while Todd Ford will be showcasing his dance performance.
\nGuests can also count on a few more unannounced appearances during the
\ncourse of the event. <\/p>\n
We invite all our friends to join us in this festival of history, family and
\nfriends. As RosaCaleta marks the conclusion of Black History Month in style,
\nthis event will provide a unique opportunity to celebrate cultural exchange
\nin the German capital.<\/p>\n
