*Black History Month at RosaCaleta*

Dear friends,

RosaCaleta will be celebrating Black History Month on Sunday February 28,
2010, with a special events programme and menu between 15:00 and 23:30.

The planned celebration has already sparked a lot of interest among friends
in the community, and we will be dedicating the entire day to a celebration
of food, drink, performance, presentations, books and stories, in
recognition of Black History Month. This multifaceted event will give us the
chance to learn about and highlight the meaning of black history within our
community, and to enjoy RosaCaleta’s Jamaican-European fusion cuisine.

The restaurant opens at 15:00 with special menus for the event (the kitchen
will be open until 23:00). Presentations and performances will begin at
17:00.
There will be a special literary presentation from Dialogue Berlin (www.dialogueberlin.com), enhanced by readings and performances throughout
the evening. Scheduled performers include artist and musician Satch Hoyt, slam Poet Paula Varjack, and singer Nuwella, while Todd Ford will be showcasing his dance performance.
Guests can also count on a few more unannounced appearances during the
course of the event.

We invite all our friends to join us in this festival of history, family and
friends. As RosaCaleta marks the conclusion of Black History Month in style,
this event will provide a unique opportunity to celebrate cultural exchange
in the German capital.

It promises to be an exciting and thought-provoking evening, and we look
forward to seeing you there.
